GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To graduate from St. Matthias
High School, a student must have a minimum of 240 semester credits, including
the following specific requirements.
Five credits are given for each semester a student earns a passing
grade. No credit is issued for grades of
F and courses repeated when a grade of D was earned only receive credit for
that course one time. When courses are
repeated, both grades are included on the transcript.

*In keeping with the mission, a
full year of Religion is required for each grade level. In addition, each student must complete a
minimum of 65 hour of Christian Service for the four years at St. Matthias.
The student may select the
remainder of the 240 units of credit from available courses offered in the
curriculum. Students may base their
selections on individual ability, interest and need. No courses with a grade of
F will be credited toward graduation.
Summer Courses: Subject
requirements when offered must be taken at St. Matthias. If courses are not
being offered at our school site the student is allowed to take the course at
another school with the approval of the Academic Dean. D or F grades in a math, foreign language or English
course MUST be made up in summer school in order to continue to the next level.
Absence:
Excessive absence (more than 12 days per semester) may affect the amount of
credit given for the course. Each class
is treated individually. Please be advise that NO credit might be given.
